Our tour begins in a private farm along trails over cattle pastures, small streams, and part of the mountain, where in almost the entire route we can appreciate the spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, after enjoying the excellent route full of adrenaline and adventure, We go to the Arenal River passing through La Guaria town to reach said river and there we can enjoy a drink, a well-deserved rest and a refreshing bath, if the weather allows it, and to end the tour, we will drive back to our facilities.

The Arenal Volcano tour transports guests to the active northwest side of the volcano. The tour begins with a hike and depending upon which side of the volcano the lava is flowing, we go either to the trail " The National Park or Mirador El Silencio..It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife, magnificent lava rock formations and the Arenal Lake just in time for sunset!
During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park. The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is considered one of the richest sites in the continent for the observation of birds. Beside an abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also refuge of many other animals like: sloths, three types of monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats, and anative flora of the wet land.
Our tour to this beautiful region, leaves from La Fortuna, driving for about an hour and a half until Los Chiles, which is a rustic town that meets to only five kilometers of the border of Nicaragua, it is here where we take the boat down to Río Frío for about three hours. This ride takes us on an old road connecting Arenal Dam with the main entrance to Arenal Volcano National Park. From there we go towards the Arenal Observatory Lodge and the village of El Castillo. The Arenal Canopy Tour is located in "Finca La Orquídea" at La Fortuna town.
The adventure begins when you arrive to the stables and the guides give you an idea of your tour, then you get part of the equipment and your horseback ride for approximately 40 minutes. When we arrive at our destination, we give you the rest of the equipment necessary then we continue with a short walk through the transitional forest where a guide points out things that prevail in the rain forest. Some times it is possible to see several species of animals, such as white faced and howler monkeys, rodents, snakes and a great diversity of birds. As well as an enormous variety of orchids and canopy plant life. The trees we use are adults that tower above, the plataforms are at an elevation of 150 feet (46 mts).
All the plataforms are designed for observation of life rather than damage of it. Trees like cocora (bilia hippocastanum), monkey comb (apeiba membranacea) and capulin (mortoniodendrum apetala) just to name a few. After the hike, we arrive at the first plataform where the ride begins. You can´t help but be overwhelmed by the beauty as you glide through the forest on the seven cables. Our shortest cable is 195 ft (60 mts) and our longest is 650 ft (203 mts).
All the equipment we use is safe and simple for using, and will be handled by the guides, so you sit back and enjoy the day. The construction (rigging) of the tour meets the safety regulations specified by the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology), considering our tour one of the safest in Costa Rica.

We leave early in route to Rio Celeste (Light Blue River), located into the Tenorio Volcano National Park, near the montain range. There is a hike of 5 miles approximately waiting for us, through the tropical rain forest. We will arrive "Los Teñideros" of the Rio Celeste, the site where two streams of crystalline water come together and form the heavenly color blue that gives the river its name.
We will continue our hike through the jungle to seek out the volcano’s furnace vents that expel gases of extreme high temperatures. On our decent we will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall whose color makes it one of a kind! Our final reward is an exquisite lunch at the end of our journey.

Sky Tram is an all ages tour, even people with physical problems can enjoy of this tour, our cabins have enough space for a wheelchair without folding it. The tour begins at the principal reception office and ends at the observation platform in the Arenal Reserve highest point of view, where you can watch the forest, the Arenal lake and the Volcano.
The trip in one way last approximated 18 minutes. In the observation platform we have naturalist guides for the public attention and soon there will be a multimedia room for video presentations with 1968 Volcanic eruptions images, images of the towns that flooded for the Lake Arenal creation as electric generation source, and images of the rain forest flora and fauna.
We start off the adventure by assisting you into your "Petzl" harness and giving you your "Piranha" rappelling gear, "Pro-Tec" helmet and gloves. Next, your professionally-trained bilingual guides will give you a thorough safety talk about proper techniques and rappelling moves. Then we do a practice rappel down an easy, 15-ft. waterfall, so you can get the hang of it.
Keep in mind, you'll be using some rock climbing moves as we make our way through this gorgeous slot canyon - some parts of the canyon are less than 5-ft. in width! Remember to use your arms, legs and "bum!" You'll descend down 5 more waterfalls until you get to the grand finale... the biggest waterfall over 210-ft high. The water will splash all around you as you make it to the bottom, feeling incredibly exhilarated. It's then a short 10-minute walk up the side of the canyon to where your tropical fruit and water await you and then you get treated to a delicious home-cooked lunch.

The night walk takes place at the Ecocentro Danaus a small reserve whose focus is conservation and education. The Arenal Hanging Bridges tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals which your experienced guide will help you spot. This is a good combination of horseback ride and hike and a beautiful stage. Those are trained horses that will take you until the entrance of the waterfall through pastures, forest and tall hills. The views of the Valley of San Carlos and the tropical forest that enclose it are spectacular. At the end of the road, we will leave the horses and we will descend walking for a natural trail until the base of the waterfall. This fantastic area is very quiet and special to relax and swimming for a while.
